HOUSTON CO AL - 2010 - A 2-YEAR-OLD BOY WAS ATTACKED BY A FAMILY PIT BULL - HE HAS SERIOUS INJURIES WITH MULTIPLE BITES AND FACIAL INJURIES

UPDATE ON THIS STORY

Oct 4, 2010 - DOTHAN EAGLE - Houston Co. Sheriff's deputies are investigating the circumstances surrounding the injuries caused to a 2-year-old boy on Monday morning after he was attacked by a PIT BULL.  Sheriff's Capt. Antonio Gonzalez said deputies responded to a reported dog attack at a residence on Brannon Stand Rd (a few miles west of Dothan)  A child was attacked and suffered multiple bites and facial injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  His injuries are considered serious.

Gonzalez said that 3 dogs were found at the home and 1 dog was found dead when deputies arrived.  It is believed that the Pit Bull attacked the boy and the other dog fought the pit bull.  Early investigation shows the dogs were family pets.
