DECATUR AL - THIS BLOG DEDICATED TO DIANE DONAHUE AND HER BELOVED PET "GIGI" ATTACKED BY A VICIOUS PIT BULL!

 RIP  GIGI

On February 10, 2008, Diane Donahue, in her 70's, was walking her 1-yr old peekapoo, Gigi, on a leash in her side yard  in Decatur AL.  TWO PIT BULLS came into her yard and one of them attacked Gigi and tore her apart. Diane refused to let go of the lease and was dragged receiving  cuts and bruises, and many puncture wounds from the pit bull biting her!  Diane lives not even a mile from us and we saw her last week - walking from the mail box with her new little dog she received not long after watching Gigi get mauled to death - MURDERED! I hope no one has told Mrs. Donahue how the pit bulls are encroaching on our "Nice Neighborhood".  Rest in Peace, Gigi. I hope time has lessened Diane's pain and suffering!

DECATUR AL - OUR LIVES TAKEN OVER BY 4 PIT BULLS!

Sept 5,  2009 - Our lives changed forever....In the middle of the night a new family moved into the house next door and we awoke to the most incredible barking, growling, squealing, screaming, whining.... we had ever heard in our lives!  The house already had one dog pen in the back yard fenced to the side of a utility building that looks down on our yard. The new residents had put up another pen next to our fence line and had placed 2 pit bulls  in each pen- 4 pit bulls looking down on us 24 hours a day! We can not even turn the door knob on our back door before the barking and growling and lunging starts!

The sounds of the dogs permeate every room of our house but no room is effected like our bedroom which is on the back corner near the dog pens. Our 2 dogs can no longer go into our back yard and stay over a few minutes and we have to be right with them for their safety. We can not work in our back yard with out being growled at viciously - the lunging and growling is getting much worse as we are now in our 9th month of this horror movie- our day to day life!

Getting help with this situation has been a nightmare. We are living in such fear and tension and it is affecting our health. We would like for the world to know what happens to a family- married for 45 years, worked and almost paid for a home that we thought was going to be our final home- raised our kids and grandkids- getting ready to retire...and now we live from moment to moment afraid to go into our own backyard, wondering if we will get mauled to death walking down our driveway to the mailbox, or not knowing if we will be able to sleep 2 hours tonight before they wake us up or will they bark in a frenzy all night and it sounds like they are killing each other - fighting!!!.....or if we manage to creep out our back door and listen real close about 3:30 in the morning amidst all the jungle/zoo/horror movie sounds... we  might just hear their rooster crow.........ALL THIS IN ONE OF DECATUR AL'S SUPPOSEDLY "NICEST NEIGHBORHOODS".
