His son found him dead in his home on January 2. Scotland Yard decided to treat the matter as manslaughter after a post-mortem examination on Feb 2, revealed that Mr. Trotman had died due to a haemorrhage caused by a ruptured speen. Officers believed these injuries were sustained during the attack by the Dog. The matter has now been turned over to Force and Hom icide and serious crime command. Mr. Trotmart had been in his backyard garden when he was attacked by the dogs. It is not clear how the animals managed to escape and enter Mr. Trotman's property. They dogs have ben seized from an address in Rowan road, Brentford.
