TAYLORSVILLE UT - NEIGHBOR'S PIT BULL ATTACKED AN 8-YEAR-OLD GIRL WALKING HOME FROM A PARK

Tuesday - May 22, 2012 - An 8-year-old girl, JANETTE BROADHEAD,  was walking home from a nearby park when a neighborhood   PIT BULL attacked her and tore into her arm.
.

"HE JUST RIPPED OUT MY MUSCLE AND ALL THE MEAT WAS HANGING OUT."

She attempted to run but the Pit Bull hung onto her arm.  The owner came to help get the dog off her and animal control came quickly and put the dog in quarantine. Janette received stitches and is scheduled to see a plastic surgeon.  Officers cited the owner for not having a current license and they do not have property insurance, so Janette's family is left with the bill.

Why do these stories keep showing pictures of the poor widdle pibble in the cage? Is it an attempt to stir up pity for the dog?
