Thursday - July 19, 2012 - Arthur Duppstadt and his wife were sitting on their front porch in the 100 block of Herman Street on Tuesday night when 2 PIT BULLS came racing up the sidewalk and onto the couple's property. They broke through a gate on the front porch and attacked Zoe....
Mrs. Duppstadt grabbed their 5-year-old Terrier and ran to go inside but the Pits chased her and managed to get Zoe away from her. Mr. Duppstadt tried to beat them away with a club, but it did no good. A neighbor across the street helped to pull the dogs away and placed them in his fenced-in yard until police arrived.
ZOE HAD A HOLE IN HER STOMACH, IN HER CHEST AND ONE OF HER LEGS WAS CHEWED TO THE BONE !!! THEY TOOK THEIR PET TO THE VET BUT THE INJURIES WERE SO SEVERE THEY DECIDED TO PUT HER DOWN.
"IN ALL MY YEARS I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS ATTACK !!!"
The 2 female Pit Bulls were being quarantined and will remain there until the West York Police settle the case against the owner, TINA R. PRICE, who is facing charges for having DANGEROUS DOGS.
ACCORDING TO POLICE PRICE CAME TO THE SCENE TO FIND HER DOGS, BUT LEFT WHEN SHE HEARD POLICE WERE ON THEIR WAY. SHE FACES CITATIONS FOR ???? HISTORY OF ATTACKING ???? WITHOUT PROVOCATION AND HARBORING DANGEROUS DOGS.
THE DUPPSTADTS SAY THEY DON'T THINK THEY WILL GET ANOTHER DOG RIGHT NOW.
