I caught the end of this story on the radio tonight. The announcer said something about sending a message to other dangerous dog owners. I could not agree more. We are past due for some serious consequences when your dog mauls someone. I hope this guy gets life and I hope all the other owners get some jail time or life.

Good! Make people think twice about owning these dogs. Nutters have been screeching "blame the deed" for too long without consequence. Watch them move the goalposts if murder charges become more common.

This is LONG past due. Aside from exterminating pit bulls and other dangerous breeds this is the only thing which will cut down on these preventable attacks. Punishment needs to be severe and CONSISTENT.

I don't publish comments from nutters or anyone I think might be a nutter. I received a comment from a person today saying that this case was not fair and that Alex Jackson did not kill this woman...his dogs did. To quote a wise fellow blogger ANIMAL UNCONTROL--"WHEN YOU OWN A DOG, YOU OWN EVERYTHING THAT DOG DOES". http://animaluncontrol.blogspot.com/2012/12/good-guy-excuse.html
Alex Jackson killed this woman the same as if he took 6 knifes and cut her body all over and cut her arm off !!!

They're very much like drunk drivers-who don't INTEND for anyone to be hurt or killed by their negligent and irresponsible actions. But when people are just or killed drunk drivers get stiff sentences. So why are the willful owners of dangerous dogs let off the hook? They shouldn't be. Anyone who doesn't want the risk associated with a breed that is 14 times more likely than other breeds to escape confinement can get some other breed. There is damn reason anyone NEEDS to own a pit bull as a pet. NONE.

Blame the deed = oh, uh the dogs did it so I'm not responsible. Haha!
I hope jail time and huge fines become the norm. You own the dog, you are responsible for what that dog does.

Well..Since they bite less and you have to train them to be vicious...

Shouldn't every pit bull attack be treated as attempted murder?!?
