BOYNTON BEACH FL - SHELBY CHUREY WAS 2 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE WAS BITTEN ON THE FACE BY HER UNCLE'S PIT BULL WHILE SITTING ON HER GRANDFATHER'S LAP

In November 2012, Shelby Churey was 2 years old  when she was sitting on her grandfather's lap and was holding a dog's squeaky toy when the dog suddenly bit her in the face.  The family had the PIT BULL   put to sleep.  The baby had at least 30 stitches and had to have skin grafts.  Her parents say they have spent most of the summer indoors  to protect her face from the sun and they use a special cream to help minimize the scars.

Her parents say it is very sad that another child has been bitten by a PIT BULL in Palm Beach Gardens recently. Their advice to those parents is.......

TO BE THANKFUL THAT YOUR CHILD IS STILL ALIVE!!!!!

Shelby has just turned 3 years old in September and will eventually need laser surgery.  They plan to take her to the Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati to have the laser surgery.

It's a shame they have to step up to the plate and that people with kids don't have enough brains to choose a NORMAL dog for a pet.
