ANNE ARUNDEL MD - 3 PIT BULLS "SOMEHOW" FORCED THEIR WAY OUT OF THEIR HOME - WHICH APPEARS TO BE ACROSS THE STREET FROM A MIDDLE SCHOOL ON GOOGLE MAPS - AND ATTACKED 2 WOMEN

Two women were taken to a hospital after they were attacked by pit bulls Wednesday afternoon in Brooklyn Park, an Anne Arundel police spokesman said. Police in the 200 block of Hammonds Lane when they were flagged down by two women, ages 45 and 22, around 3:38 p.m. who reported that they had been bitten by THREE PIT BULLS. 

The dogs owners' were also on scene and were ultimately able to secure the dogs, police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said Thursday via email. Preliminary information suggests that the dogs, all females ranging in age from 2 to 5, may have forced their way out of their home while one of their owners was taking out the trash, Mulcahy said.  

Both women suffered bites to their legs and arms. They were taken to Harbor Hospital in Baltimore for treatment. Animal Control took custody of the dogs and is investigating the incident, Mulcahy said. 

Additional information was not immediately available Thursday afternoon.
