BLUM, HILL COUNTY TX - A GERMAN SHEPHERD ADOPTED FROM LIVE OAK KENNELS BY A FAMILY ATTACKED THEIR 2-YEAR-OLD BOY
UPDATE: The boy’s family had acquired the 5-year-old dog through a third party and not from the kennel, as authorities first reported.
A 2-year-old boy who was attacked by a GERMAN SHEPHERD at a Hill County kennel where his family lives was airlifted to a hospital late Thursday afternoon.
The attack occurred at Live Oak Kennels on Hill County Road 1125 in Blum, interim Hill County Sheriff Wes Collins said.
The boy was eating cereal and when he went to pick up some he had dropped, the dog attacked him, Collins said.
The boys family had adopted the dog from the kennel, Collins said.
No other details were available Thursday evening.
