JOHNSTOWN PA - A PIT BULL "SOMEHOW" GOT OUT OF ITS HOME AND ATTACKED A MAN RIDING HIS BIKE - POLICE WERE FORCED TO SHOOT IT

Dale Borough Police shot and killed a PIT BULL Thursday morning after it left its Bedford Street home and attacked a passing bicyclist, leaving the man with serious bites to his hand and thigh.

A witness saw the incident and said the man was riding his bike and did nothing to provoke the dog:

"The dog came out of the yard the first time and attacked the gentleman and dragged him. Then it ran back across the street to its yard.  The guy managed to get up and go over toward the building to get away....the dog then came back and attacked him again."

Johnstown Animal Control came and removed the dog.  Neighbors said the dog had tried to attack others in the past.  Police said thay didn't have a choice in shooting the pit bull because it was not giving up the attack and it took 3 bullets to stop it.   The dog was not up-to-date on vaccinations and charges against the owner are an option.

2nd (or tenth) chance FAIL. Dog should have been dead a LONG time ago!

So when are the folks going to rise up and start rioting over all the police racism against pit bulls I wonder?
