CANTONMENT, ESCAMBIA COUNTY FL - A 2-YEAR-OLD GIRL WAS ATTACKED BY A DOG ON SUNDAY - SHE WAS TRANSPORTED TO SACRED HEART HOSPITAL - THE OWNER KILLED THE DOG

ANOTHER ARTICLE:  THE CHILD WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES.

A toddler suffered a severe dog bite in Cantonment on Sunday, according to Escambia County officials.
The incident was reported around 7:31 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1600 Muscogee Road, a county spokesperson said.
The victim, a 2-year-old female, was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital for trauma alert injuries due to an animal bite. The child’s current condition is unavailable.
The dog was killed by it’s owner, and Animal Control was not dispatched to the scene. The identities of those involved have not been released. The breed of dog and the circumstances of the bite are also unavailable at this time.
