(KMOV.com) – Police said they are searching for a man who ordered 2 PIT BULLS to attack two brothers in East Alton.
Police told News 4 the attack happened near the B and R Tavern. Detectives said two brothers got into an argument and a man named Kenneth Boner who lives nearby became upset when the brothers began to talk too loudly. The three then exchanged words before Boner allegedly ordered two pit bulls to attack the brothers. Boner does not own the dogs.
“He said go get them,” said Det. Christian Cranmer. “Once the dogs were released they said they had no time, the dogs were on them.”
The dogs bit them men in the forearms, legs, and chest. The victims were forced to stab the dogs to get them off. One brother cannot use a pinky and a thumb because one dog ripped a tendon.
“When the dog was latched onto his arm that instead of pulling away, he had to move with the dog so it would prevent any tearing,” Cranmer said.
The dogs were later put down at the owners request. Police said the dogs had a history of being too aggressive.
