A Wichita Falls man was seriously injured when he was attacked by two dogs Monday morning.
Police were called to the 2300 block of Avenue E about 8:45 a.m. where they found a man covered in blood “from his head to his shoes,” according to the incident report.
The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment of puncture wounds to his head, neck, jaw and abdomen. Part of his scalp had been ripped away.
The man told officers he had been walking in the vicinity of Taylor and Avenue E. when he saw two dogs charge toward him. He identified one as a PIT BULL.
The man said he ran, but the dogs caught up with him and attacked.
Animal control was called to the scene and located the animals, which have been impounded. Police spokesman Sgt. Harold McClure said the owners of the dogs were also located.
He did not know what legal action, if any, would be taken against them.
