Jonesboro police cited a woman after they say her dog tore a screen door to attack neighbors.
Officer Eric Schmett of the Jonesboro Animal Control responded to the 1200-block of Cartwright at 6:47 a.m. Thursday regarding an aggressive dog.
According to his report, the victims said the blue and white PIT BULL tried to attack them and “tore the screen door trying to get them.”
Schmett said he found the dog nearby at the home of 23-year-old Caitlin Letner who admitted it was hers.
Letner “blamed the neighborhood kids for letting the dog out,” Schmett reported. She then became “argumentative and began to yell at her neighbors.”
Schmett cited Letner with dog at large and warned her if the animal gets loose again it will be taken and she will be cited with harboring a dangerous animal.
