LEXINGTON, LEE COUNTY TX - 3 PIT BULLS ATTACKED AND KILLED A BORDER COLLIE

On July 27, at about 1:30 a.m., Lexington Police Officer Flores was dispatched to a residence where three pit bull dogs were attacking a Border Collie. When the officer arrived, he witnessed the attack. A neighbor was on scene and tried to remove the pit bulls from the dog fight. He managed to pull the three dogs off the Border Collie, but it was too late.
The pit bulls were transported to the City Kennels for quarantine.
Due to the dangerous nature and location of the case, it went before the Municipal Court a couple of days later and the owner of the pit bulls was issued a citation for dogs at large. The case is being appealed to the County Court.
