PIQUA OH - A PIT BULL ACQUIRED BY A FAMILY FROM AN ANIMAL RESCUE FACILITY WENT PIT WHEN THE DAUGHTER'S CELL PHONE RANG AND SHE REACHED FOR IT - HER FATHER WAS ALSO ATTACKED WHEN HE RUSHED TO HER AID

Piqua police responded to a report of a dog attack on Wednesday.
The dispatch indicated that a dog was attacking an individual and would not stop attacking.
Police responded to 1006 Madison Street and arrived to find the dog, A PIT BULL, still attacking its owner. Officers used both Tasers and pepper spray on the animal in order to evacuate the family of three from the home.
The house was secured and the animal shelter called to remove the vicious pit bull from the home.
A pair of officers from the Miami County Animal Shelter, along with several police officers, entered the home and managed to get the animal out without further incident, as the residents watched from a safe vantage point.
OFFICERS SAID THAT A CHILD AT THE HOME HAD APPARENTLY REACHED FOR HER CELL PHONE WHEN IT BEGAN TO RING AND WITH THE SUDDEN MOVEMENT, THE PIT BULL ATTACKED HER.
Her father immediately jumped to her rescue and the dog turned to attack him. Police say that they believe that an ankle-high leather work boot the man was wearing probably saved him from more severe injury but that the dog had inflicted severe bite wounds to the man’s foot, ankle and leg.
He refused transport by Piqua medics but was going to be driven to the hospital by family. The daughter had noticeable bites but did not appear to be seriously injured, thanks to the quick action of her father.
POLICE ARE LOOKING INTO A REPORT THAT THE SAME PIT BULL BIT A NEIGHBOR LAST WEEK. OFFICERS ON THE SCENE SAID THAT THE PIT BULL WAS ACQUIRED FROM AN ANIMAL RESCUE FACILITY THAT IS BELIEVED TO DO BUSINESS WITH PIT BULLS THAT WERE INVOLVED IN DOG FIGHTING.
The resident reportedly signed papers to have the dog destroyed following a mandatory ten-day quarantine.

These pit bulls are abandoned and end up in these shelters and rescues for a reason, they are defective and violent

The shelters and rescues lie to people and unload these defective dogs on them to attack them

People need to start suing these shelters and rescues big time. They are running dog fighting businesses.

GO RESCUE NUTTERS!

I wonder if they did any temperament tests? Did they do the one where a cell phone rings? I bet it was a cat meowing ring tone. Poor pit bull WAS SET UP!

What's that group that likes to rescue dangerous pit bulls? The one that saved Mickey? Lexus Project, I had to look it up. I wonder if the supreme nutters at Lexus Project will take on this worthless pit bull.

Hopefully, the pit bull will be dirt napped before it does any more harm.
