NATIONAL PIT BULL VICTIM AWARENESS DAY - OCTOBER 24, 2015 - IN AUGUST 2013 A DISABLED VETERAN RICHARD ALLEN HAD TO WATCH AS A PIT BULL HUNG OFF THE THROAT OF "JACK" HIS BELOVED PET FOR 12 YEARS - KILLING THE LITTLE BURRO

RICHARD ALLEN, a disabled veteran, could do nothing to save his pet burro while a neighbor's loose  MONSTER OF A PIT BULL relentlessly attacked it on Saturday. He and his wife watched as the massive dog bit JACK'S THROAT AND HUNG THERE FOR OVER 15 MINUTES.    His ear was torn off and his legs were severely lacerated.  Except for calling and waiting for the Camp Verde Marshal's Office to arrive, all they could do was sit and watch Jack suffer.  Marshals showed up 20 minutes after they called and

                                        PUT THE PIT DOWN!!!!!

"I HAD JACK 12 YEARS....12 YEARS OF MEMORIES. I MIGHT AS WELL HAVE LOST A SON I LOVED JACK SO MUCH.  I  NAMED  HIM AFTER MY GRANDFATHER, JACK WHITNEY, WHO WAS A JOCKEY.   HE WAS SUCH A TINY LITTLE ANIMAL AND SO FRIENDLY.  HE LIVED IN THE HOUSE WITH ME UNTIL MY WIFE CAME. HE USED TO TRY AND RACE ME IN MY WHEEL CHAIR AND HE ALWAYS LOVED TO OUTRUN ME..  I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER FORGET THAT IMAGE."

And they say some pit bulls are therapy dogs? Yet pit bulls go after ACTUAL therapy animals all of the time. It's disgusting.
