NEW PHILADELPHIA, TUSCARAWAS COUNTY OH - 2 DOGS THAT LOOKED LIKE PIT BULLS CAME INTO VIVIAN VAN CAMP'S YARD EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AND KILLED ALL HER CATS AND SLAMMED INTO HER STORM DOOR TRYING TO GET AT HER DOG INSIDE

Vivian Van Camp of Tall Timber Road NE is looking for the owner of two dogs that killed six           2-month-old kittens at her home early Sunday.

Two other black kittens “are nowhere to be found,” she said.
Van Camp got up at 6 a.m. when she heard her dog barking.
“I looked out the window, and saw the shadow of an animal,” she said. “I thought it might be a coyote. I saw a dead kitten. Then I saw a medium-sized dog, all black, with a head shaped like a PIT BULL."
Standing at her front door, Van Camp said she told the dog to get away.  Instead, the dog came up to her house and  SLAMMED ITSELF AGAINST THE STORM DOOR, TRYING TO GET AT HER DOG, WHICH WAS INSIDE WITH HER.
She then saw a second dog, which looked like the first one. Later, she saw one of the dogs kill another kitten.
“I didn’t dare go outdoors,” Van Camp said. “I was afraid to go outside Sunday or let my dog out.”
She called 911, and dispatchers notified Tuscarawas County Dog Warden Karen Slough, who came out to the scene to investigate. By that time, the dogs were gone.
Van Camp said that if anyone knows the owner of the dogs, they should call the dog pound at 330-339-2616 or call her at 330-343-8914.
“The owner should know that what the dogs have done to my cats is not right,” she said. “It was a terrible way for those kittens to die.”
