ALBUQUERQUE NM - A NEIGHBOR'S 3 PIT BULLS INVADED A BACKYARD AND KILLED 2 BELOVED PETS

An Albuquerque woman could face more than 30 charges after her 3 PIT BULLS attacked and killed two smaller neighborhood dogs, an Animal Control officer said.
Animal Control officers, along with Albuquerque police, arrived at the home Monday morning, and found a graphic scene. The home was located at Quincy Street and Los Arboles Avenue.
“Body parts, some were on the sidewalk, some were in the yard, and the owner’s just devastated,” said Corporal Kathryn Waite, with Albuquerque Animal Control.
Two of the pit bulls involved in the attack are being treated. The owner surrendered the dogs.
“That just means we have three less dangerous dogs roaming the streets,” said Waite.
Neighbors said they have called Animal Control before because of the dogs escaping, and Waite confirmed officers have been out to the home because of a broken fence.
Waite wants to make sure the owner of the dogs doesn’t get off easy, and has vowed to prosecute this case to the full extent of the law.
