ERIE PA - A PIT BULL IN A HARNESS WAS BEING WALKED BY A MAN WHEN IT BROKE FREE AND ATTACKED THE MAN AND 2 MORE PEOPLE

An Erie police officer shot and killed a PIT BULL after it attacked three people this afternoon in the 900 block of West 21st Street, police said.

The officer shot the dog three times as it was attacking and biting a man in his rib cage in the driveway of a residence there, police said.

The injured man, who suffered bites to his ribs and hands, went to the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center to be evaluated, authorities said.

A woman who suffered bites to her hand and shoulder was taken to Saint Vincent Hospital for treatment, and another man who was walking the dog when it broke free from its harness and began attacking people suffered a broken finger and bites to his right hand.

Officers were sent to the residence at 4:33 p.m. and arrived at the scene at 4:36 p.m.

Oh no, it's okay. The pit bull is friendly! This is what a wiggle butt does! A biting pit bull is a pit bull giving kisses. The pit bull is showing its love to anyone and everyone! Notice how the nutter got kissed too? It was mean of the police officer to shoot the pit bull. I'm hoping the pit bull did not get dirt napped so I can rescue it. I believe in giving loving pit bulls another chance, and I know pit bulls can be rehabilitated.

Wow, that sounds crazy. That's how nutters come across.
