MATTAWA ONTARIO CANADA - A LARGE BLACK DOG WITH SHORT HAIR AND POINTED EARS ATTACKED A 22-MONTH-OLD CHILD IN A STROLLER GOING TO THE SANTA CLAUS PARADE WITH HIS MOTHER

A child sustained severe injuries to his face after being attacked by a dog in Mattawa, Saturday.
Ontario Provincial Police say a mother and her 22-month-old son were on their way to the Mattawa Santa Claus Parade at about 6:30 p.m. The child was in a stroller and they were on Park Street near Division when a large black dog with short hair and pointed ears lunged into the stroller and attacked the child.

The child sustained severe injuries to his face before the mother was able to pull the dog away. He was brought to hospital for medical attention.

OPP has canvassed the area but has not located the dog

Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or has information about the dog or who the owner of the dog is, should immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
