At Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, Angelo Garcia takes on his fears face to face. The East Memphis boy was bitten by a neighbor's pit bull, CANNIBAL,  when he was 2-years-old. His brothers and sisters all witnessed the attack.
"We had to pray to keep him safe, to keep him well around us, and to never let things go wrong," Angelo’s brother David said.

Angelo’s mom said for 3 months, he fought for his life in the hospital, battling infections and taking on major surgeries. Doctors began stitching his wounds, reconstructing his skull and repairing neck fractures.

"Yes, he still hurts. He has problems with one of his legs. He has problems with his head. He is strong, but he is not a normal child. He is not 100 percent well,” Xochitl said.
