An "aggressive" pit bull sent one officer to the hospital and left another dog with severe injuries, Cocoa police say.
The officer responded to a call Thursday around 1:42 p.m. from a Cambridge Drive resident, who said his neighbor's dog had broken through the fence and was attacking his dog. Both dogs were identified as PIT BULLS.
When the officer arrived at the residence, the dog immediately charged him and bit his right leg. The officer was taken to the hospital for the wounds, as the dog was not up-to-date on vaccinations. Brevard County Animal Services secured the dog and will continue the investigation.
