An 11-year-old boy has a long road ahead of him to recover after being attacked by a dog on Tuesday night.
The boy’s mother, Amber Bruno, told FOX 61 she was visiting a neighbor’s house with her two children when the incident occurred.
The family was going to visit the neighbor’s new baby, and before entering the homeowner told them to wait while he put his PIT BULL in a bedroom.
The family then entered, and about 10 minutes later the dog, named Gage, was accidentally let free from the bedroom. Gage approached the 11-year-old, who was sitting on the floor in the kitchen. The boy was familiar with Gage and went to pet him when suddenly the dog attacked, according to Bruno.
The boy suffered significant facial injuries, and needed 43 stitches. He cannot feel part of his lip, and his nose was severely damaged. He will also need plastic surgery to repair some of the damage.
Due to his extensive injuries, the boy does not want to leave his home and will need to be tutored at home.

Decatur AL livin nt to 4 pits said...

In this city of Decatur Al ...NEVER !!! The powers that be would rather throw an elderly couple like us to the pits instead of cleaning up the drug house that exists next door to us. Besides the fact that small children are around those pits next door to us and I have witnessed unbelievable disregard for their safety, we have heard guns and crap going on all during the nightand day. This past summer from about the middle of June to November 8, we actually watched the traffic come and go and watched small bags being brought to cars and cigarettes being given openly to young men. There was one arrest in Nov and another in Dec. and its quiet now. but they have ways of reappearing in just a month or two here in Decatur....but the XXL pits are still there. At 1:30am 2 weeks ago I was woke up to an unusual sound and I looked out to see the older nutter chasing a pit with a water hose spray on the hardest setting. It was 26 degrees that night. I see things like this all the time and now it looks like they are putting their dog shit in large buckets and placing it along our fence line. Ain't this a great life living next to nutters with breeding pits? Then there's always the chance that I will hear a scream and a child's face will be ripped off!!!

It's heartbreaking that this poor little boy is so traumatized that he can't bear to be out in public. I hope that he gets all the help required to heal well and become strong... physically and emotionally.

Also, please tell me they killed the worthless fucking dog.
