LOWER PAXTON TOWHSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY PA - A PIT BULL RECENTLY ADOPTED BY ONE NEIGHBOR ATTACKED ANOTHER NEIGHBOR AND HIS DOG - A THIRD NEIGHBOR WAS FORCED TO SHOOT THE PIT TO STOP THE ATTACK

A neighbor shot and killed a pit bull that attacked a puppy and bystanders in a Lower Paxton Township neighborhood on Saturday, police said.
A man was walking his four-month old puppy in the 100 block of Lopax Road when a PIT BULL running on the loose attacked the dog, according to police.
The pit bull clamped down on the puppy's neck and also bit and injured its owner during the attack, police said. The dog also attacked bystanders who attempted to help.
A neighbor intervened and ended the attack with a legally registered handgun, police said. The pit bull died at the scene.
Two people were treated for bite injuries. The puppy was treated by a veterinarian and released.
Charges will not be filed against the neighbor who shot and killed the dog. The neighbor acted in the defense of others, in addition to the puppy, according to police.

THE ATTACKING DOG'S OWNER HAD RECENTLY ADOPTED THE PIT BULL.

The victim and the adopter need to sue the rescue or shelter

These pit bull rescues and shelters are taking dogs that were abandoned or given up because they are dangerous. or getting them right in from the pits, and knowingly selling dangerous dogs to the public in order to market fighting breeds
