ALAMOGORDO NM - A NEIGHBOR'S KILLER PIT BULL BROKE THROUGH A YOUNG FAMILY'S FENCE AND KILLED THEIR SMALL DOG AND PREVIOUSLY TRIED TO ATTACK THE GRANDMOTHER - YES, THEY ARE DEALING WITH "ANIMAL UNCONTROL"

(KRQE)- A New Mexico woman is very upset, saying she’s living next door to a killer dog. She says it broke through her fence and killed her dog, Davina.
LaTanya Chambers says her husband is the one who found her in their backyard after being attacked himself.
“All the sudden he’s being attacked by the neighbor’s dog, so he takes a stick from over there, beats the neighbor’s dog back into their yard and then he goes over there and finds my dog sitting over there dead, chomped, completely chomped up,” said Chambers.
The fence has since been fixed but the dog that killed Davina is still on the other side of it.
The family says it could have been much worse, they have a baby girl and a young son at home.
“I have a three year old son that plays in my yard all the time, granted we are out here with him but imagine you know we turn our head for one second, a dog is chewing though our fence and comes after him,” said Chambers.
Chambers says she’s had problems with this dog before, saying it once tried to attack her mother.
The neighbor was cited for having an animal on the loose in this latest case but Chambers says she’s disappointed that nothing has happened to the aggressive dog.
“Something more should have been done more than the woman just getting cited and having to fix the fence,” said Chambers
KRQE News 13 tried to get a hold of Animal Control all day but never got a response. News 13 also tried to get the completed report from Animal Control in the case where the dog tried to attack the woman’s mother to see what Animal Control did about it, but were told it would take a minimum of three days to get it.
