HASTINGS, ADAMS COUNTY NE - A PIT BULL ATTACKED A 19-MONTH-OLD TODDLER IN THE FACE

A 19-month-old baby is hospitalized with facial injuries after a dog bites her in the face Saturday night, police said.
The Hastings Police Department said they responded to a call made by a Mary Lanning Healthcare ER nurse just before 10 P.M. Saturday night of a dog bite injury.
Police said the baby was visiting a home on Kingston Drive in Kingswood Plaza. As she was going into a room, the  PIT BULL  jumped up and bit her in the face.
After going to the ER, HPD said she was transferred to the Children's Hospital in Omaha. The baby girl's mother was with her at the hospital.
The pit bull has been taken to Heartland Pet Connection where it will be held for a 10-day observation period.
As to the fate of the dog, Hastings Police Sergeant Michael Doremus said the Adams County attorney will have to decide whether the dog is really vicious.
The owner of the pit bull has not been fined. HPD said there was no city ordinance violation.

If a mosquito bites you, you kill it. So same for a dog, they are naturally a wild animal.

Pit bulls in general have a vicious predisposition. I don't understand why it would even be a question??? If a dog of any kind attacks a toddler in a "vicious" way they are not safe for society! Get rid of the dog before it attacks or Kills again!
