MARIETTA, COBB COUNTY GA - A PIT BULL ATTACKED A SMALL DOG BEING WALKED BY ITS OWNER - NEIGHBORS RUSHED TO GET THE MONSTER OFF EVEN BREAKING A BROOM ON IT THEN SOMEONE CAME WITH A GUN!!!!!

Police say they will not charge a man who shot a PIT BULL during a dog attack Wednesday.

The owner of the dog may be facing charges because the pit bull was not on a leash, according to witnesses and the police.

A woman from the Marietta neighborhood was walking her dog on Earl Street when the pit bull ran up to them and starting attacking her dog, according to police.

“I heard her scream and I went running to the front door and I saw the dogs fighting down there, and they were wrapped around her legs,” one witness said.

Neighbors say they tried to stop the pit bull, but they said it had a good grip on the small dog.
“It wouldn't turn loose,” the witness said.

That's when a neighbor grabbed a broom and beat the pit.

“(I) broke the broom on it and it still didn’t do any good,” the woman said.

Another neighbor called her husband, who showed up with his gun.

Police say he shot the pit bull, and neighbors say they don’t blame him.

“There was no other way. There just wasn’t any other way to stop it,” the witness said.

The smaller dog ran underneath a nearby truck to get away from the pit bull. Video taken after the attack shows an animal control officer trying to pull him out and get him to an animal hospital.

Neighbors told Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes that the dog survived the brutal attack.

“It was still alive. It's got a broken neck and a broken paw but it was still alive,"  she said.

Finally AC tries to do something for a normal dog instead of only pimping for pit bulls. Hallelujah!

Meanwhile: SHOOT THOSE FUCKERS! Don't wait until they attack. Just shoot them if they so much as approach you or any of your loved ones (including your animals).
