DES MOINES COUNTY IA - A 4-YEAR-OLD CHILD WAS ATTACKED BY WOLF HYBRIDS AND WAS AIRLIFTED TO IOWA CITY HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION

Des Moines County, Iowa (KWQC) – A 4-year-old was critically injured after a dog attack Sunday night, April 17, 2016.

(Dogs in kennels are shown Monday at the home of Michael Hanson at 4279 160th St., north of Burlington.  Marley Carreyton, 4, of Denver CO, was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City in critical but stable condition after being attacked by wolf hybrids running loose on the property.)

The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Michael Hanson residence at 4279 160th St. around 7:22 p.m. Officials learned that the child was taken to Burlington, Iowa in a private vehicle where they were met by an ambulance. The child was taken to the Great River Medical Center and then airlifted to Iowa City Hospitals in critical but stable condition.
Witnesses say the child was attacked by FOUR DOGS. The incident remains under investigation.
