A walk in the park was anything but for a Jonesboro woman who told police AN UNKNOWN DOG attacked her.
Monday morning Officer Mike Owens responded to a dog bite call in the emergency room of St. Bernards Medical Center.
The 32-year-old victim told Owens she was at Stotts Park on Hope Street when a white dog with brown spots attacked her.
According to the incident report , the woman suffered "deep wounds" to her right arm, bites to her right hip and complete removal of flesh from her left thigh..
The woman underwent surgery for her wounds, Owens reported.
After leaving the hospital, Owens drove around Hope and Cate Streets in an attempt to find the dog. He also spoke with several residents who said they had seen the animal, but did not know the owner.
