DALLAS TX - A DOG CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND ATTACKED A 13-YEAR-OLD BOY PLAYING WITH FRIENDS OUTSIDE HIS HOME

"When I was fighting the dog, I felt like I was in a dream."
For 13-year-old Jesus Galvan, Memorial Day turned into a real-life nightmare. He was viciously attacked by his neighbor's white BULL TERRIER.
"I was like, "Help! Help!' I was screaming and nobody helped me. They were just watching," he told NewsFix.
Jesus says the attack lasted several minutes until Dallas PD arrived and used a taser on the dog so Jesus could escape.
But once he was finally rescued, the dog was dead and had already done its damage.

"I can't walk," Jesus said. "Probably in a month I'll be able to walk again."
Cops say the dog escaped from the yard while its owner was out of town. The owner's brother was supposed to be watching the pet. He's now charged with "dog at large" and there could be more charges.
This is yet another vicious attack the city is dealing with. Just last month, a pack of loose dogs mauled Antoinette Brown to death in South Dallas. The tragedy put a spotlight on the city's growing stray dog issue.
Although Jesus' mom says she's thankful her son's attack didn't turn deadly, there's still fear.
"He's still scared," Jesus' mom said. "Last night, he slept for a while but he was having nightmares."
Yeah, as we head into the dog days of summer, seems like the heat isn't the only thing we need to be worried about.

Other News sources identify this attacking dog as a "Bull Terrier". Check it out. I doubt it is truly an AKC English "Bull Terrier". They are just leaving the "Pit" part out, so as to not infuriated the Pit Bull hacks.
