LINCOLN NE - AN UNNAMED BREED OF DOG GOT FROM A SHELTER A WEEK AGO ATTACKED ITS OWNER

A DOG bit a 29-year-old woman in northeast Lincoln about 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Paramedics took the woman to Bryan West Campus, and Animal Control officers removed the dog from a house in the 7200 block of Leighton Avenue, where the woman lives.
The dog  bit the woman in the arm, Lincoln Police Sgt. Todd Beam said. He said although her injuries were serious, they are not life-threatening.
