RUTLEDGE, MORGAN COUNTY GA - A GRANDMOTHER'S PIT BULL ATTACKED HER 2-YEAR-OLD GRANDDAUGHTER ON THE FACE - THE GRANDFATHER SHOT AND KILLED THE PIT

A 2–year–old child was air–lifted to Egleston’s Children’s Hospital on Monday, May 2 after being attacked by a PIT BULL in Rutledge.
According to Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports, the child was bitten on the face while the child’s mother and grandmother argued in the kitchen of the grandmother’s Fairplay Street, Rutledge, residence. Reports state that Laree Dean, 31, was allegedly arguing with her mother, Valerie Renaud, and the female child was standing next to Renaud in the kitchen. Reports state that during the argument the dog became aggressive and attacked. “Mrs. Dean stated that the dog became aggressive when Mrs. Renaud became upset,” reports state.
The dog belonged to Renaud, a deputy noted.
Reports state that several people attempted to pull the dog off the child.
When a deputy arrived at the scene, he was told that the child’s grandfather, David Renaud, 59, had shot the dog twice in the head and killed the dog.
Donna Prior, director, Morgan County Animal Control, took control of the deceased dog. Prior said the dog was not current on rabies vaccination and was sent to the state lab for testing. Prior said on Tuesday she was notified that the dog was not rabid. Prior called the incident a “tragedy.”
Dean said on Tuesday the child was “doing, very, very well” and that facial surgery “went very good.”
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m., reports state.

Yet another child sacrificed on the altar of someone's Holy Vanity. I'm glad Grandpa knew how to deal with pittie-poo.

Meanwhile, the child is not doing "very, very well". She's been let down by all the adults who were supposed to care for and protect her. She'll be scarred physically and emotionally for the rest of her life, subject to school bullying, stared at on the street. She is also still stuck in the situation of being raised by a bunch of numbskull narcissists.

Granny's probably one of those nutters posting, "My pit bull plays with my grandchildren."
