A PIT BULL attack a young Columbus boy and the family and neighbors are in an uproar over it.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon on the city's Southside.
Family members tell News Leader Nine the victim is 11-years old.
The boy's brother says he was walking to the store near Victory Drive when the dog approached him.
Police say two dogs were in the yard.
One was on a staked runner and the other dog was not.
There is no fence around the front yard.
The victim's brother says the dog bit the boy on the leg and on his back.
He also says problems with the dog have been an ongoing thing.
"I find out that it was the same dog we knew that was terrorizing the neighborhood a couple times where one would get through the leash, bit him and that's the one that chased me around, but I hopped fences." the victim's brother told News Leader Nine.
The boy was rushed to the emergency room at a Columbus hospital to be treated.
We're still waiting for an update on his condition.
