EASTBOURNE ENGLAND - 2 UNLEASHED STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIERS ATTACKED A KING CHARLES CAVALIER BEING WALKED ON A LEASH...AND THE NUTTERS TOOK THEIR PITS AND FLED!
Police are appealing for a couple walking two Staffordshire Bull Terriers to come forward after another dog was attacked in Eastbourne this week.
Officers say that at 7.30pm on Wednesday (July 20) police were called to Chesterfield Road after a report that a King Charles Cavalier dog on a lead had been attacked and bitten on the back by two other dogs not on leads, described as STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIERS, who were with a man and a woman. The couple took the two dogs away.
The injured dog is called Finnley, pictured above, and was taken to a vet where it has been receiving treatment.
Finnley’s owner said, “He is in a very bad way. He has broken ribs punctured lung, puncture wounds and torn leg. Finnley wouldn’t hurt a fly and it was a complete unprovoked attack.”
A police spokesperson said, “Enquiries continue to identify and trace the two dogs and the two people with them.
“The couple are sought for interview on suspicion of allowing dogs to be dangerously out of control in a public place.”
The dog’s owner has also taken to Facebook in a bid to find the couple.
