A female pitbull mix is taken from the scene by an animal control officer after biting a 2-year-old boy on Figaro Ave in Modesto, Calif., on Friday, July 15, 2016.
A 2-year-old boy is photographed by an animal control officer after the boy was bitten by a neighbors pitbull mix on Figaro Ave in Modesto, Calif., on Friday, July 15, 2016.

A 2-year-old boy suffered injuries to his face when he was bitten by a dog Friday afternoon.
The boy was playing in the driveway of his Figaro Avenue home in west Modesto at about 5 p.m. when the incident occurred.
A man walked across the street to the house and was followed by the dog – a 75-pound female PIT BULL MIX.
There are conflicting stories about what happened next, whether the boy jumped on the dog’s back or the man’s back – but the dog bit the boy in the face.
The boy had lacerations under his left eye and on his jaw. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The dog was taken by animal control for a 10-day quarantine. It was not licensed or up to date on its rabies vaccines.

Who would have thought that the pit bull mixed with pit bull, was not vaccinated or registered? WHOOPIE! I'll bet it wasn't spayed either.
