ROCK HILL SC - OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A CALL AT A HOME WHERE A MOTHER SAID HER PIT BULL WAS KILLED INSIDE HER HOME BY HER SON'S 2 PIT BULLS
A Rock Hill man was cited for violating a vicious-dog ordinance after his two dogs allegedly attacked his mother's pet, according to police. Officers responded to the 500 block of Keels Avenue on Sunday for a report of several PIT BULLS fighting.
A woman sitting on the porch of her home said her dog was killed by two other dogs inside the home. She had reportedly been knocked down by the dogs but not bitten.
The woman told officers both aggressive dogs belonged to her son and “were known to act aggressive toward her dog.”
Police say the woman’s dog was not dead but had a “severely injured” right front leg and lost a large amount of blood.
The woman’s son arrived and secured the two aggressive dogs as York County Animal Control arrived, police said. He signed the dogs over to Animal Control and had a friend transport his mother’s dog to a veterinarian for treatment.
The son was issued two citations for violating the vicious-dog ordinance.
