A man was flown to a hospital early Saturday morning after he was mauled by his PIT BULL in Westmoreland County, authorities said.
The attack was reported about 3 a.m. at a home on Route 286 in Bell Township. Police said the man suffered severe lacerations from the 60-pound dog.
Officers who responded to the attack used a Tazer, Mace and batons on the dog, which ran into a wooded area. Anyone who sees the dog, which is brown and white, is asked to stay away and contact Pennsylvania State Police in Kiski.
The condition of the man who was attacked has not been released.
