A woman was rushed to the hospital after being attacked by 2 pit bulls while delivering mail.  The incident took place on Wednesday, August 17 around 11:00.

Ntokozo Banda was at Harlekyn Street in Reyno Ridge when she was attacked by a male and female pit bull whilst delivering mail.  It is alleged that the gate was not completely closed and the owner was not home.  She tried to run away but it was too late.

The dog was clipped  to her for close to four hours before letting go.  Another neighbor in the area Mr. Enoch Mathibella came to provide assistance.  He tried to scare the dogs off by throwing stones but unfortunately the male dog went over to his side and attacked him.

The woman who was also on the scene was Miss Sylvia Selesho who is a professional nurse and was on her way going home from work.

The dogs eventually ran off and left Banda and Mathibela on the ground.  Selesho mentions that she fears that the dogs will bite someone else as they are vicious.

The police and various ambulance services were on scene to assist.  The victim was transported to Emalahleni Private Hospital  (EPH).  She had multiple bites to her hand, arm and leg.
