ACUSHNET MA - AN EMPLOYEE AT CHLOE'S COUNTRYSIDE KENNELS WAS ATTACKED BY A LARGE DOG AS SHE WAS TRYING TO INTERVENE WHEN IT ATTACKED A SMALLER DOG

(WPRI) — A woman has been airlifted to the hospital after being attacked by a dog early Friday morning.
The incident happened around 7:50 a.m. at Chloe’s Countryside Kennels located on Leonard Street in Acushnet.
According to police, the 44-year-old employee was trying to intervene after a larger dog  went after a smaller dog. Police said the larger dog turned on the woman and attacked her. She suffered serious injuries to her upper right arm.
A Med-Flight helicopter landed at the nearby middle school to rush the victim to a trauma center in Boston. Police said the woman was alert as she was being transported.
