MOUNT CARMEL PA - 3 DOGS ESCAPED FROM A FENCED YARD AND ONE OF THEM, A PIT BULL/HUSKY MIX, ATTACKED A 12-YEAR-OLD BOY RIDING HIS BICYCLE

A 12-year-old boy was treated by paramedics after he suffered dog bites on his arms and buttocks at around 5:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Walnut and Center Streets.
Patrolman Kevin Katch said the boy had been riding his bicycle in the area when three dogs belonging to Amber Malantonio, 31, of 337 E. Center St.,  escaped from her fenced yard.
At least one of the dogs, a PIT BULL/HUSKY MIX, bit the boy repeatedly, Katch said.
The boy was treated at the scene by medical personnel and then taken by his parents for further care, he said.
Katch said Malantonio will be cited for the incident. Further criminal action could only occur if the dogs had previously been involved in an incident, which Malantonio denied.
The dogs were licensed and had up-to-date vaccinations, Katch said.

If you click the blue hyperlinked dog owner's name in the original news story, it goes to a story in April about her getting in trouble for adding a "1" in front of the 60 on a painkiller prescription. Wonder if she's telling the truth about her dog's history?
