ZIMBABWE AFRICA - THE OWNER OF 7 DOGS THAT FATALLY MAULED PRAISE MAVHIRINGIDZE, 6, AS HE WALKED TO SCHOOL IN 2014, IS FACING A CULPABLE HOMICIDE CHARGE

Edward Nhemachena, 68, who resides in Chademunhu farm in Masvingo has appeared before Magistrate Collet Ncube, facing a culpable homicide charge.

The complainant is Elizabeth Zvokuwomba, 26, who resides at Druton farm, and is the mother of the deceased  Praise Mavhiringidze, 6,  on November 17, 2014.  The boy was on his way to school when 7  DOGS  attacked and killed him.

The dogs ate his scalp, back of his neck and  both lower and upper limbs.

Two witnesses who were looking for their cattle saw the dogs feeding on the body of the child.  Another witness told the court that the dogs ran away and they went to search for a homestead that had dogs and they found them at Nhemachena's place.

The case will continue on September 28, 2016, as the court will call the Zimbabwe Republic Police investigating officer and the medical doctor as witnesses.

You can bet these were either straight-up pit bulls, or they were the South African pit bull-mastiff mix they call 'boerboel' (farmer's bulldog).

That they are charging the depraved owner with homicide shows that even third world countries are now ahead of the USA in taking murder by pit-bulldog seriously.

Shame on our country!
