DALLAS TX - A PIT BULL "SOMEHOW" BROKE AWAY FROM ITS OWNER AND ATTACKED AN 8-YEAR-OLD BOY PLAYING OUTSIDE OF HIS APARTMENT BUILDING...THEN THE NUTTER TOOK THE PIT AND FLED

A boy was injured when he was attacked by a PIT BULL  that broke away from its owner Wednesday evening in Far North Dallas, police said.
The 8-year-old boy was playing about 6 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Trinity Mills Road when the dog broke free while being walked, police said.
The dog bit the boy on the right side of his face causing a cut that required stitches.
The black and white pit bull and its owner have not been found. The dog had a blue collar and leash. A detailed description of the owner was not released.
It's unclear what charge the man would face, if any. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Dallas police at 214-671-4268.
