GROVELAND FL - A NEIGHBOR'S PIT BULL MAULED A 3-YEAR-OLD BOY - THE CHILD WAS FLOWN TO ST. JOSEPH'S TAMPA WITH EXTENSIVE INJURIES TO HIS NECK AND HEAD

A 3-year-old boy suffered extensive injuries to his neck and the back of his head after he was attacked by A NEIGHBOR'S PIT BULL, police said Wednesday.
The boy was flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa to be treated, said Todd English, the interim chief for the Groveland Police Department.
The attack happened just after 5:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Savage Way, officers said.
The 3-year-old boy went to go visit another dog at the same neighbor’s house when the pit bull bit him. The child was opening the gate to the backyard at the time, assisted by his mother, police said.
The boy is expected to survive, according to the hospital. He is listed as stable. Medical procedures remain in progress, St. Joseph’s Hospital staffers said.
Groveland officers and Lake County Sheriff's Office Animal Services are investigating the case.

Pitbulls are the sorriest excuse for dogs! What other dog does that??? Attacks a happy little boy in the neck and head??? They are devils and there is no loyalty.

I like how they say, "when the pit bull bit him." A bite is when you go to the ER, and are sent home. A mauling is when you're in the hospital, listed as stable, expected to survive, and there are ongoing medical procedures.

Does anyone else notice the HUGE DIFFERENCE?! This is why pit bull advocacy is a farce! All dogs bite they say. It is impossible for them to comprehend the difference between a "dog bite" and a "pit bull" mauling.

You can take the pit bull out of the fighting pit, but you cannot take the fighting instincts out of the pit bull.

One more thing, pit bull advocates say, "It's all in how you raise them." Okay, if that's the case, why is it they want to rescue and rehome actual fighting pits? Once again, does anyone notice the irony?

This is why we call them nutters. They are completely and hopelessly insane.
