HUNTSVILLE AL - A DOG WAS SHOT AND KILLED AFTER ATTACKING AN OFFICER WHO WAS SERVING A NARCOTICS WARRANT

Huntsville police are investigating an officer injured while serving a search warrant.
Investigators say the STAC agent was bitten by a dog while serving a narcotics warrant at a home on Guava Circle Monday afternoon.
One of the agents was attacked and bitten by a dog. Other officers then shot and killed that dog.
The officer was taken to a hospital and the injuries are not deemed serious.
Animal Control went back to the home and took two other dogs for safekeeping.
