The baby girl, believed to be a one-year-old, was horrifically attacked by a cream PIT BULL CROSSED WITH A STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER  which had leaped over a fence and into the kid’s playground yesterday evening.

Heroic kids who witnessed the horror bravely fought off the dog to wrestle the small child from the animal’s jaws.
Firearms officers shot the beast dead at the scene after cops were called at 5.26pm last night to the Jenkins Dale estate of Chatham, Kent.

A horrified onlooker said: “The baby’s head was being shaken in the dog’s mouth and it was covered in blood.
“It was absolutely horrific and there were about six children aged eight to twelve covered in blood who witnessed it all.”
According to an eyewitness, the child was being looked after by a teenage babysitter and the parents are believed to have been at work when the attack happened.
Neighbours said they heard a shot fired and saw a child covered with a blanket being carried to an ambulance.
Jaspreet Uppal said: “First I heard a gunshot, there was a dog on the floor. A few officers carried out a child from the back area of the flats. There is a little park there. I could not see the child, they were covered. I think they were quite small.”
The dog’s owner was said to be “distraught” and “shellshocked” and was walking the hound in a field near the playground where dog walkers regularly let their pets off the lead.
The onlooker said: “The dog didn’t look like it was vicious. It is a complete tragedy. It just ran and jumped over the fence into where the children were playing out of nowhere.”
The child was airlifted to a London hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Two people were arrested and are being quizzed by cops in custody.
Kent Police appealed to members of the public who may have footage of the incident to contact police and not to share it on social media.
Daniel Hennessy, 38, has been remanded in custody after his five rare American bulldogs bit a man and woman while up to 50 children watched in horror.
Police were forced to gun down three of the five stone animals.

I still can't believe that so many people in the UK believe Staffordshire Terriers are totally different than pit bull terriers, even though they have the same ancestry and were bred for the same thing.

And the Staffordshires and pit bull terriers act the same. They both go on these deadly rampages. I mean, 1-year-old babies playing in a park are serious threats to every and all living creatures. It's a good thing psycho dogs can be trusted to do the right thing.

I'm glad the Staffordshire Terrier is dead. No chance in having it hurt another baby.
