CLEVELAND OH - A PIT BULL "SOMEHOW" GOT LOOSE AND ATTACKED A 6-YEAR-OLD GIRL

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
Three pit bulls were recently taken from a Cleveland home.
“He was biting my leg and he was trying to bite my stomach, but I was trying to hurry up and get up and run in the house,” said Harmony Lipscomb.
The 6-year-old and her family were visiting a relative Monday evening. Mom, Lavieta Lipscomb, had taken her baby inside, but Harmony had asked to play in the backyard.
“My oldest daughter is 15 and she ran in the house and yelled, 'Mom, come help, the dog is dragging Harmony down the sidewalk,'” Lavieta said.
The family said a neighbor's pit bull had gotten through a fence and attacked Harmony.
By the time Lavieta ran outside, Harmony had freed herself from the pit bull.
“The paramedics showed up, and they were scared to walk up," Lavieta said. "They had to wait until animal patrol came."
The attack resulted in three pit bulls being taken from the neighbor's home.
“I want someone to suffer the consequences because my daughter could have died,” Lavieta said.
