A terrifying moment for a 15-year old hot springs teenager as three dogs approached him on the street - one attacking him - leaving scars.

On a normal day after school, Gaige Reynolds says he often spends time walking on Summer Street in his Hot Springs neighborhood. He didn't expect what happened one Monday afternoon. "All of a sudden the 3 dogs came out," Reynolds says.

He says one of the dogs - identified as a PIT BULL OR MIXED BREED - by Hot Springs Animal Control - bit him from behind. "I panicked. He came up and started peeling at my pants at the bottom, and i tried to get it off me," says Reynolds. That's when the dog jumped up and bit the 15-year-old on his arm -leaving scars.

Hot Springs Animal Services confirmed they did respond to a home on Summer Street. "We began trying to contact the people at the residence, we couldn't get anybody to come to the door," says

Once they found the dog's owner  - he says they cited them for failure to provide the proper paperwork.  We were able to locate the person who lived at the address today in court and issued a citation for failure to quarantine, no rabies vaccination, no city license," he says.

Animal Services says they did confirm the dog was responsible - also issuing citations for the dog not being restrained at the time of the attack.

Now, Reynolds hopes it doesn't happen again anytime soon. "Honestly, I don't think that dog should be on the street, around children, because i think it will attack somebody else."

The dog is still with the owner. The owner of the dog is due in court on June 6th.

An irresponsible nutter getting its proven dangerous, unvaccinated, unlicensed, at large, pit bull back? Unheard of!
