MCKEESPORT PA - A ?DOG? "SOMEHOW" CRAWLED UNDER A FENCE TO TRY AND KILL A NEIGHBOR'S BELOVED BEAGLE -

Heather Barno said she was alerted by another neighbor who was screaming outside that her dog was being attacked in her yard.
"He just kept his whole mouth all on him, on his stomach, on his legs," said Barno. "He couldn't move. He was dragging the bottom half of his body."
Barno said she took her dog, Lokan, to a veterinarian. The Beagle has undergone two surgeries, with one more to go.
"If it does it to a dog this bad, it can do it to a kid," Barno said. "There are tons of kids playing outside."
According to a police report, the neighbor will be cited for her allowing her dog to get loose.

One free maul per pit bull. It's a right bestowed upon all pit bulls by the U.S. Government.

Funny how they don't mention what kind of dog it was in the story. They do briefly show the police report in the video which identifies the dog as a pit bull belonging to Erin Taylor who strangely doesn't want to speak on camera as a proud advocate of the bully breed.

The fence between the two yards is also shown - four feet of so of chain link loose at the bottom where the pit bull has come through multiple times. The beagle's family now has an unusable backyard, front yard too really. You couldn't ever really enjoy the outdoors again without worrying when the freak dog next door will decide to let itself out for a maul again.

Neighborhood full of kids and other dogs, pit bull with history of attack and inadequate fencing and all the authorities can come up with is a loose dog citation.
