PANAMA CITY, BAY COUNTY FL - A WOMAN AND AN 8-YEAR-OLD CHILD WERE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER BEING ATTACKED BY A PIT BULL

PANAMA CITY — A woman and an 8-year-old child were rushed to a local hospital Wednesday night after being attacked by a dog, Panama City police reported.
Most details of the attack were unclear later Wednesday night as officers spoke with witnesses in the 1000 block of Venetian Way. The identities of the woman and the child were not released.

Police received a call shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday from the woman as she and the child were being attacked. Officers arrived quickly to the neighborhood, where the dog was being contained, and then rushed the two victims to a hospital for bite wounds. The severity of their injuries was not clear.

The dog, initially identified as a PIT BULL, was seized by Bay County Animal Control workers.
